The Arbor management team is composed of seasoned industry professionals who collectively have decades of experience and expertise in the pharmaceutical industry spanning a wide array of disciplines. Through its comprehensive network of industry partners and corporate leadership, Arbor is poised to rapidly introduce novel treatments that will enhance the treatment and management of the most common pediatric illnesses.
Ed Schutter, President & CEO
Ed Schutter has over twenty five years of pharmaceutical industry experience and served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Sciele (Shionogi) Pharmaceuticals prior to joining Arbor. Prior to his Sciele experience, Ed served as VP of Global Business development at Solvay Pharmaceuticals based in Basel, Switzerland. He also held several senior management roles in commercial operations at the U.S. subsidiary of Solvay during his twenty years with the organization. He began his pharmaceutical career with Reid-Provident Labs, a small entrepreneurial pharmaceutical company based in Atlanta, Ga. Ed has a BS in Pharmacy from Mercer University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Jarrett T. Disbrow, Vice President of Commercial Development
Mr. Disbrow brings over a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry focused on successful product commercialization. Prior to founding Arbor in April 2006, he served as the head of marketing for TEAMM Pharmaceuticals, a division of Accentia BioPharmaceuticals. While at TEAMM, Jarrett was responsible for the launch and marketing of several key products in addition to helping to build the company’s product pipeline and commercial strategies. With TEAMM, he was a member of the senior management team and directly involved in all areas of commercialization and business/product development. Mr. Disbrow began his career with GlaxoSmithKline, where he held roles of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing, including roles with leading respiratory brands Advair®, Flovent®, and Serevent®.
Josh Disbrow, Vice President of Sales
Mr. Disbrow has spent over 10 years in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device industries and has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, sales management, commercial operations, and strategy. Most recently he held a sales management position with Cyberonics, Inc., a medical device company focused on neuromodulation therapies. Prior to joining Cyberonics, Josh served as director of marketing at LipoScience, Inc., a specialty cardiovascular diagnostics company, and oversaw commercialization of the company’s lead product. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility within sales and marketing at GlaxoSmithKline and Amgen. Josh received an MBA from the Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University.
John Donofrio, Vice President of Operations and Controller
Mr. Donofrio has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry with emphasis on operations and finance. John spent the majority of his career in various senior-level financial positions with Pilling Weck Inc. (formerly Edward Weck Inc., a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb), including controller and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Arbor, he served in financial roles with Fresenius Kabi (formerly a division of Pharmacia & Upjohn). Mr. Donofrio has deep experience in all areas of financial management including corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestiture, cost-system design and implementation, and international reporting.
Gaylord VanGuilder, Director of Commercial Operations
Mr. VanGuilder has spent the past decade and a half in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare industries. Gaylord has held increasing roles of responsibility in sales, sales operations, commercial operations, marketing, and business development. Most recently, he served as the marketing manager for the Drug Enhancement Company of America (DECA) and assisted in the formation of Union Springs Pharmaceuticals and the development of the revolutionary MyClyns® product. Prior to joining DECA, Gaylord held various sales roles for PediaMed Pharmaceuticals and the Connetics Corporation. Prior to that, Gaylord held various roles at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, specializing in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. Gaylord received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Kentucky.
